The Farmers Home, a 200-year-old,
traditional country pub with large garden where food is served all day

Serenely situated in beautiful South Hampshire countryside between Fareham, Eastleigh and Bishops Waltham, The Farmers Home, Durley is a destination pub with the rural character of a bygone age.

Enjoy the old ships' timber beams, inglenooks and a roaring log fire in winter. This is an establishment of superior reputation and old world charm where time can trickle by.

The pub garden is especially child-friendly, with a popular array of playground adventure equipment and plenty of soft springy turf to run around on.

The west-facing garden is ideal for afternoons and long summer evenings with a wide choice of comfortable furniture and a riot of flowers.

Landlord Jason Grebert is a chef with substantial international experience who is bringing delicious new offerings to the menu. Here you will find traditional and modern pub food at modest prices, but of the highest standard, and cooked to order from quality local produce. The reputation for fine food is spreading far afield, with customers driving from Southampton or Winchester to enjoy one of the few remaining genuine, traditional country pubs.

No TV or loud music will distract you from the simple pleasures of good food and conversation in a thoroughly welcoming environment. The Restaurant (bookings taken) is valued for intimate, relaxed dining, while the Garden Room, which leads onto our patio courtyard, is convivial for larger groups and families and may be booked for private functions.

There are many walks and rides in the neighbourhood, so do not be surprised to share the car park with customers' horses and bikes!
